Payroll Specialist

As an Payroll Specialist – your primary responibilies are to provide excellent customer service forall inquiries related to our SBS payroll platforms andto facilitate resolution of client tax inquiries, amendments, and notices with the appropriate agencies
Job Duties:
  • Successfully manages implementation of the SBS payroll platforms
  • Data entry and auditing of payroll for Auto and Fax-in clients
  • New client data upload and auditing
  • Client product/service training, including all ancillary services, via telephone and web
  • Assist with running payroll adjustments
  • Assist with payroll quarter-end and year-end reconciliations
  • Perform daily ACH file uploads and/or verification
  • Understand and successfully file payroll taxes with appropriate agencies (IRS, Fed, State, Local) Facilitate resolution of client tax inquiries, amendments, and notices with the appropriate agencies (IRS, Fed, State, Local)
  • Respond to client phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • All other tasks/project as assigned by management
Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with payroll and related services such as payroll taxes, time clocks, HRIS, and Workers’ Compensation
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll tax
  • Attention to detail and ability to assess and prioritize client needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Proficient with MS Office and internet
  • Basic payroll accounting is a plus
  • Certifications: CPP is a plus
  • BA/BS preferred but not required

Sales Representatives

At SBS Payroll, Inside Sales Representatives works in a competitive and fast-paced environment. Inside Sales Representatives will target small and medium-sized businesses throughout a territory specified by the Sales Manager. As an Inside Sales Representative you will be responsible for a variety of sales related duties, including prospecting and developing sales relationships with potential clients, and strategic partners, as well as, closing new sales and deepening relationships with existing clients.

The ideal candidate is a hunter that can create their own cold calling activity and is on the constant prowl for the next sale. They incorporate a consultative approach to their technique, and have the ability to be persistent to the point of relevance, but not to the point of nuisance.
Objectives: Upon completion of our training period you will be able to:
  • Achieve sales goals and objectives set by management.
  • Qualify and sell SBS Payroll products and services to corporate accounts with 1 – 50 employees.
  • Telemarketing.
  • Conduct product/system demonstrations to prospects and existing clients.
  • Create pricing proposals and all related sales oriented tasks according to company standards.
  • General prospect and client research.
  • Maintaining accurate prospect and client account information for assigned accounts.
  • Database management and development of all accounts.
  • Submitting weekly pipeline and activity reports.
  • Providing the necessary documents to Operations to assist Clients in the transition between the sales process and implementation.
  • Work with Operations to determine solutions to resolve client issues, while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • General client follow up and maintenance.
  • All other sales related tasks required by management.
Experience:
  • 2-5 years in a quota driven sales position
